NTCA Wireless Symposium Explores ‘A World Without Wires’ - FCC Commissioner Jonathan S. Adelstein to Speak at ConferenceDecember 9, Arlington, Va. – The National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) will hold its 2005 IOC Wireless Symposium, A World Without Wires, January 5-7 in Phoenix.
Highlighting the speaker roster at this year’s event is FCC Commissioner Jonathan S. Adelstein. Featured speakers also include former North Dakota Gov. Edward T. Schafer, now chief executive officer and president of Extend America, and Michael S. Haskins, chief executive officer and chief operating officer of Iowa Wireless Services, LLC.
The symposium will examine the state of the rural wireless industry and reveal how the latest technology can create opportunities for rural carriers to reach new customers and offer new services. The goal of the symposium is to equip independent telecom companies with the information they need to establish themselves not only as players, but as leaders in the wireless marketplace.
Three distinct tracks— mobile, fixed and next generation—will allow participants to customize their education experience and concentrate on their specific areas of interest.
