September 19, 2010 - NTCA Fall Conference Meets in St. Louis
Fall Conference registration opened on Sunday afternoon, September 19, with members gathering their materials and taking a moment to renew old acquaintances and catch up with good friends. The warmth and friendship that are the hallmark of NTCA’s meetings was evident throughout the registration area.
The Associations Services Committee met and recognized two directors who have earned their Director’s Core Curriculum Certificate. Harold Estenson (left) and Richard Anderson (right) pictured here with NTCA Education Manager Sandi Redman (center), completed the required courses to earn the certificate. The entire committee congratulated the gentlemen on their accomplishment.
The Video Task Force met to discuss issues and learn more about “over-the-top” video. Pictured in the photo on the left, Task Force Chairman Keith Galitz explains his perspective on an issue. The task force continues to focus on video issues such as access to programming and other challenges for rural telecom providers who deliver video to subscribers.
The Welcome Reception features great food, music and friends. NTCA’s new CEO Shirley Bloomfield greeted attendees as the entered the reception. Members met and mingled while listening to the tunes of the St. Louis Ragtime band. The reception provides a terrific way to kick off the meeting and network with colleagues.
