NTCA Statement on Appointment of Mignon Clyburn as Acting Chair of the FCC
Arlington, Va. (May 1, 2013) – NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association today issued the following statement from Chief Executive Officer Shirley Bloomfield in response to President Barack Obama’s appointment of Mignon Clyburn to serve as acting chair of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC):
“NTCA commends the appointment of Commissioner Mignon Clyburn as acting chair of the FCC. During her tenure on the commission, Commissioner Clyburn has sought to protect the public interest and to make sure that consumers are always front and center in the agency’s mission. NTCA looks forward to continuing to work with Chairwoman Clyburn to ensure that every American has access to high-quality, affordable and sustainable communications services.”
