Arlington, Va. (August 15, 2016)—The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Congressional Broadband Tour will host nineteen congressional staffers in Wyoming on August 15–18.

The tour will include visits to broadband companies Tri-County Telephone Association (Cody, Wyo.), RT Communications (Worland, Wyo.), Dubois Telephone Exchange, Inc. (Dubois, Wyo.) and Silver Star Communications (Freedom, Wyo.).

 Arlington, Va. (August 9, 2016)—Rep. Dave Loebsack (D–Iowa) and FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel will host a roundtable today at Skiff Medical Center in Newton, Iowa, on the unique challenges that rural health care providers face and how emerging technologies can improve access for rural patients. 

NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association members Donald Jennings, executive vice president of Partner Communications Cooperative (Gilman, Iowa), and Kevin Hranicka, general manager of Van Buren Telephone (Keosauqua, Iowa), will speak at the event.  

Following the roundtable, Loebsack and Rosenworcel will visit Partner Communications Cooperative’s Giga Center in Baxter, Iowa. Jennings will lead the tour and describe the benefits that high-speed broadband can offer to rural communities.
