Copper Valley Telecom is the premier communications company offering a variety of services in the Prince William Sound & Copper River Basin regions of Alaska.
The responsibilities of this position include directing the overall operations of the company and positioning the company both strategically and tactically in the evolving broadband paradigm.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for interfacing with all external stakeholders either directly or through subordinate managers. This CEO position is the main interface with the Board of Directors.
Knowledge of rural broadband industry
Knowledge of practices and procedures utilized in successful rural broadband companies or an equivalent entity
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and supervisory skills
Ability to interact successfully and consistently with members of the cooperative and public, management, and other employees
Prior experience as a rural broadband senior executive
Familiarity with state and federal regulatory processes
Familiarity with climate and geography of Alaska
Minimum Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public administration, engineering, or associated field of study required
Five years in a supervisory capacity
An equivalent combination of college study and experience may also be accepted.
