Nicholville Telephone Company, a 110 year old rural ILEC in New York’s North Country, is seeking a General Manager to oversee all of its operations, including its rapidly growing CLEC subsidiary, Slic Network Solutions, Inc., currently doubling in size year-over-year. Responsibilities will include leading and managing all aspects of the outside plant (construction, installation, maintenance, and repair), inside plant (engineering and central office), customer service, and include helping in the development of short and long range business plans. The selected candidate will continue to grow the network infrastructure for its triple-play CLEC customers, including IPTV services, to while maintaining the existing ILEC base.

The GM will report directly to Company’s CEO and be a key member of the Company’s Executive Staff and overall Leadership Team. Peer relationships include Sales and Marketing, Technology, Finance, and the office of the CIO. The target start date for the position is August 15, 2012.

Applicants should have at least 10 years of experience managing telecommunication operations, including exposure to both ILEC and CLEC business cultures, at least 5 years of line management of at least 25 staff, successful track record of planning and execution of major (> $5M) development projects, and significant expertise in leading fast growth businesses.
