Several NTCA committees conducted meetings on Sunday, with members and staff discussing key industry issues and plotting the course for the association's future activities. The Industry and Wireless Committees and the Government Affairs Committee each held their own meetings and conducted a joint session to discuss NTCA's advocacy efforts on the Universal Service Fund, intercarrier compensation reform and call completion. The Association Services Committee, Innovation and Technology Committee and Associate Member Advisory Council also met on Sunday to discuss industry developments and how they affect the way rural telcos do business, as well as how to best meet member needs.
Throughout the day, general managers, directors and others reconnected with old friends and colleagues and to make new contacts. Attendees packed the room for the Welcome Reception to mix and mingle while enjoying delicious food and drink to the sounds of the Kamau Kenyatta Jazz Trio.
