Learning Objectives:  Participants will learn to identify challenges that face employers in the next five years and how human resource professionals can position their organizations to successfully recruit and retain the workforce of the future. 

The United States is on the verge of unprecedented demographic shifts; chief among them, the imminent retirement of the baby boomers. This massive shift will impact the role of human resources professionals in the areas of recruiting, compensation, benefit programs, communications, and organizational culture. If community-based telcos are to thrive and succeed they must be prepared to skillfully manage this new workforce.

Based on analysis of data from over 21,000 employees in NTCA member companies, this seminar will highlight developing trends and challenges facing small telcos, many located in rural areas. Through an interactive session, participants will identify how their companies can respond to workforce changes over the next several years and learn about best practices and resources in workforce planning that incorporate the needs of today and tomorrow’s workers.
