The changing legal landscape makes ongoing information, resources and training an imperative for those working in the rural telecommunications arena. NTCA provides an annual legal seminar to encourage exchange of information and networking among telecom legal professionals.
Attend the programs, participate on the list serv and connect with industry leaders on topics that are critical to rural telecom. The annual seminar reviews the latest developments in telecommunications law and regulatory proceedings and applies this information to rural, independent telecom providers. It also addresses corporate structure issues and business strategies; employment law, including relevant court decisions; legal issues relating to emerging technologies; and business opportunities and professional ethics. The program complies with state mandatory continuing legal education (MCLE) requirements, and provides typically 10 credits with at least 1.25 ethics credits.
