Bound for College, Via a QR Code
Hamilton College in New York wanted to get a leg up in the competition for new students, so it sent posters to high-school guidance offices across the United States with nothing other than a quick response code, or QR code. No campus photos, no PR pitch. Only the code.
The black-and-white blotch puzzled adults, but high-school seniors understood what the codes were right away. Those who clicked the code were taken to Hamilton’s website, where they were greeted by a message from the school’s dean of admissions, and some beautiful pictures.Read more
