Members of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association have access to marketing resources and to a network of industry professionals for valuable insights into telco public relations, sales, customer service and marketing. 

Use these resources as you create your marketing strategies and to stay informed of industry news and information.

  • Connect with colleagues on the PRNet Listserv to query colleagues on various topics.

  • Check out featured resources for examples of marketing campaigns, national campaigns, social media and ad campaigns.

  • Attend the PR & Marketing Conference. This two-day conference is focused on series of marketing, sales, customer service and public relation topics for the independent telco marketing professionals.

  • Participate in the annual TeleChoice Awards, which recognize excellence in marketing and PR, provides an outlet for members to showcase their work such as marketing campaigns, customer newsletters, Websites and more. 

  • Stay informed. Members can access publications such as Rural Telecom magazine and marketing reports,webcasts, the latest newsvideos and member alerts to help you stay ahead of industry information, consumer and business trends and technology advances.

Get Involved
  • NTCA works closely with its members to further its mission, vision and values. In doing so, the NTCA Board solicits member participation in committees and councils that meet throughout the year. Membership on the nine standing committees, including the Marketing Committeeis open to directors, managers and employees of member companies. Interested members must complete the participation form and forward directly to any one of your NTCA Board regional directors. Learn more about participating in an NTCA committee and find out which NTCA Region you're in. 

  • The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS), a nonprofit organization established by NTCA, provides a variety of programs, ranging from youth-based initiatives to consumer awareness and rural economic development, that NTCA members can provide to their communities. The programs are made possible by generous donations and sponsorships.

Stay Informed

  • The newsroom is a great resource with access to press releases on the latest information on the rural telecommunications industry, a photo gallery and association social media.

  • Rural Telecom magazine and RuralTelecom.org provide articles on legislation, regulation, technology, marketing, competition, human resources, management and operations. Subscribers also can access the digital edition of the magazine at ruraltelecom.org, or on the Rural Telecom app. The Exchange section of Rural Telecom highlights member stories about new initiatives, technological advances and community outreach efforts.   • Marketing reports are focused resources that deliver product-line specific data and insight. Choose from seven categories: Competitive Positioning and CLEC Operations; Voice Services: Landline and Wireless; Marketing Operations & Budgets; Video Services; Internet Services; Bundling; and Social Media.
  • Webcasts are a great way to learn about timely topics significant to your business and technical operations. Upcoming webcasts are listed at www.ntca.org/webcasts. Archives of previous webcasts are available.

Share Your Stories

  • Exchange, a section of Rural Telecom magazine highlighting member stories, is a great way to showcase your company’s success stories in marketing, economic development, community outreach and innovations. Article ideas and submissions may be sent to communications@ntca.org.

  • Rural Telecom magazine online has created a Member News section to highlight NTCA member company news. Please send your company press releases to membernews@ntca.org to be included in this section.

  • The "Rural Is Cool" Movement is a forum to share what makes your community a great place to work, live and play. Use the hashtag #ruraliscool on your social media networks. Download and share social media images and website banners, and learn more about how you can help continue to grow the movement.
