Associate Member White Papers

The New Edge now accepts NTCA associate member-submitted white papers highlighting a new technology, standard or business strategy.  Articles must be original and should be at least 1,000 words (approximately two-pages).

If your submission is published, the New Edge will post an abstract about your white paper. The post will also link to a PDF of the white paper in its entirety.

A Brief Note about Style

Do not give a sales pitch. If you mention specific products or vendors, present the information objectively. We do not accept overtly commercial material.

Use plain English. Some subscribers are not industry experts. Avoid jargon. Spell out all acronyms on first reference.

Be creative. We strive to present complex information in engaging ways. Feel free to use humor, analogies, anecdotes, and other methods to keep the reader’s interest.

Keep it focused. If you need to address an issue that veers from the article’s main focus, include a sidebar.

Audience

More than 5,000 key decision-makers in the IOC industry subscribe to the New Edge publication. This includes technicians, general managers, chief executive officers, chief technical officers, consultants, customer service representatives, engineers, entertainment developers, management staff, manufacturers/vendors, regulatory professionals, and sales and marketing staff members.

The Submission Process

To submit a white paper, please send the following information to Jesse Ward:

  • A draft of the white paper
  • A two-three paragraph abstract/executive summary of the white paper
  • Contact information, short bio and title for the author(s)
  • Contact information for the submitting authority

Please submit electronic files in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format.

The New Edge editorial committee will review all submissions. The managing editor will contact you directly if the piece is deemed suitable for publication. If we accept your submission, the committee may suggest edits to clarify points, improve readability or remove promotional language. A publication contract must be signed before the paper is published online.
