Windstream Launches ‘Lifetime Price’ on Data/Voice

Windstream Corp. recently announced a new “Lifetime Price Guarantee” on high-speed Internet and unlimited wireline phone service.
The Lifetime Price Guarantee promotion is available for residential customers who subscribe to at least one new bundled service. Customers can choose from a variety of service plans, starting at $49.99 for 3 Mbps and unlimited nationwide calling, and extending up to up to 12 Mbps of high-speed Internet and unlimited nationwide calling with 13 features. Bundled promotional pricing varies, depending upon which services are selected.
Windstream, a tier 2 provider of voice (TDM and IP), broadband, and HDTV services to customers in 16 states, is hoping to stave off competition with this newest promotion and a variety of new and compelling service offerings. The telco offers Security Suite, home networking, Online Backup for data storage and sharing, and Broadband Protection Plus. Windstream also provides customers with TechHelp for set-up and repair of personal computers and other digital devices.
“Cable companies and other competitors are frequently increasing their rates, and Windstream believes that our customers deserve stable rates and a great value,” said Ric Crane, Windstream executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
Windstream has approximately 3 million access lines and about $3.1 billion in annual revenues.
