AT&T Enhances ‘My Multiview’ U-Verse Application

Yesterday AT&T announced that it has enhanced the My Multiview application, the telco’s latest attempt to differentiate itself from its video competitors. Through the app, customers can simultaneously view up to four channels through one main window with audio, and up to three small windows with only video.

The improved My Multiview application is all about personalization. Customers can select up to 55 channels as favorites. Instead of browsing through the program guide or surfing one channel at a time, users can tune to My Multiview to scroll through the picture-in-picture screens to see their selected favorite channels. My Multiview is customizable for each U-verse receiver in the home, so each family member can create and save their own Multiview based on their personal preferences.

“For the first time ever, you can customize your Multiview so you can choose and control which of your favorite channels you watch on your TV screen at one time. AT&T U-verse and My Multiview are changing how you watch TV,” said Jeff Weber, vice president of video services, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.

The enhanced application is rolling out on a market-by-market basis to all U-verse TV customers at no extra charge.

AT&T also announced that it will give new U-verse TV customers a $25 monthly discount for six months. U-verse TV packages with a DVR start as low as $29 a month, and customers who take advantage of U-verse Choice bundles receive additional monthly savings.
