WIT Gives Back—Making a Difference with Time, Talent and Treasure

Planning for retirement can including making a difference with time, talent and treasure. According to the recent Aegon Retirement Readiness Survey 2019, only 25% of U.S. women believe they are on course to achieve their retirement income needs and just 26% are confident they will be able to retire with a comfortable lifestyle. We know that retirement requires planning and thinking ahead—no matter how old you are when you start preparing—and women often have different concerns from men.

What are some things you should consider as you think about retiring? And how can you also include gifts to your family, organizations, and causes that you care about in those plans?

Women in Telecom (WIT) is partnering with NTCA’s philanthropic arm, the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS), for a session about retirement and making a difference with time, talent and treasure. And what better day to do that than on December 1, Giving Tuesday?

As women in telecom, we represent a strong voice for movement, change and upward mobility. We welcome you to join this conversation and learn more about the powerful influence that women have in the communities you serve. You will be joined by other women in the industry who are paving the way and helping you plan for a smarter and stronger financial future, including:

Dani Dawson, Author of "She Who Inspires" and Executive Director of Development, University of California San Diego
Jane Wigen, Member Relations and Benefits Education Manager, NTCA
Janet Cloyde, Vice President of Member Relations, NTCA (Ret.)
