ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facility Management:
Responsible for management, maintenance oversight, leases and contracts for all Aureon facilities.
Ensures the Aureon facilities meet the needs of the Aureon business and corporate services.
Serves as the project sponsor and or project manager on facility related projects as assigned. Responsible for coordinating the support of projects: meet deadlines, assign resources, monitor and summarize progress of multiple projects simultaneously, identify risks to facility or task completion to the Leader.

Network Operations:
Work with members across the organization to prioritize maintenance and project support.
Select and oversee vendors providing maintenance and facility services.
Support and oversee various sized construction and multi-phased technical center projects including the selection of vendors, contractors and subcontractors.
Initiates and oversees any needed RFP processes and presents best vendor options to appropriate parties for approval.
Responsible for managing all work orders to completion and satisfaction.
Work with procurement and the Manager, Corporate Services on building design, furniture ordering and restacks.
Work directly with the Managers to assist in procuring equipment and services directly within the procurement processes.
Management of contractors and vendors, coordination and prioritization of a wide range of projects and processes within the sites, and communication of issues with various teams at the site.
Travel to telecommunications equipment facilities and vendors as required.

Fleet Management:
Responsible for control and maintenance of vehicle inventory.
Controlling maintenance costs relating to personnel, purchasing, inventory and outsourcing of repairs.
Oversee the diagnosis and timely completion of cleaning, maintenance/repair of fleet vehicles and equipment.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations and promote a safe and productive work environment.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Two or four year technical or college degree, preferably in a field related to building systems engineering or telecommunications systems. 5 years’ experience in management of telecommunications or data center facility operations; hands on experience with building mechanical systems such as; electrical generation, electrical distribution, mechanical cooling technologies, fire suppression systems, building automation controls.
Or combination of equivalent education and experience.
5 years relevant project management.
Fleet Management experience; procurement, maintenance, DOT regulations, etc.
2+ years of experience directly managing a team and vendors.
Previous personnel, financial and project management experience.

Ability to motivate, lead and coach staff.
Demonstrated ability to manage technical group with strong customer focus.
Strong trouble resolution and problem-solving skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills. Must be able to efficiently utilize all available resources to provide effective solutions and explore all possibilities to facilitate the best decision.
Highly organized and multi-task oriented. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, often changing assignments on short notice.

TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE:
Demonstrated knowledge of personal computer applications Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Experience operating, configuring and maintaining equipment via Network Management Systems
Must have and maintain valid driver’s license.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Combination indoor work in an office environment and outside work.
Some outside plant work travel within statewide fiber network and some travel outside state.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to walk in ditches and on uneven surfaces.
Frequent utilization of manual dexterity and visualizing of a computer screen
