Job Description

Job Description: PC Telcom is seeking a highly motivated individual with proven managerial, broadband, and network operations experience for an ILEC with regulated and non-regulated activities. A bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field along with Cisco, A+, and Network+ certifications are required.

Responsibilities: Managing departmental employees for the purpose of ensuring that high quality work is performed in a timely manner, planning, organizing, staffing, directing, controlling, ensuring work quality, training, coaching, delegating work, monitoring performance, disciplining, conducting performance appraisals, providing performance feedback, tracking progress, taking corrective action, and promoting accountability. Make recommendations to staff regarding project progress and completion. Oversee Plant department time sheets, job orders, and inventory data.

Provides technical expertise and support to company personnel for the purpose of sharing knowledge and increasing the effectiveness of company operations, answering questions, conducting formal and informal training, providing resolution recommendations, suggesting resources, ensuring company personnel has the proper equipment and resources in a timely manner, analyzing service contracts for the purpose of ensuring the company meets all obligations, studying terms and conditions, service results and regulations, system policies, RUS specifications, comparing guidelines to the services provided, taking action to meet all company responsibilities.

Configuring, managing and overseeing the network operations for the purpose of ensuring the provision of services is consistent and at the quality level desired by customers; Oversee network changes, upgrades, and system records.

Manage and oversee multiple projects using project management software, develop standards and procedures, analyze complex problems, managing budget expenditures, managing project timelines, using effective and efficient project planning techniques, managing provisioning, planning technology upgrades, coordinate Continuing Property Record (CPR) data with Accounting, and data for maps.

Maintains effective communications with other areas of the company regarding the network, making purchasing recommendations, participating in ongoing training, remaining current on technical developments in the industry, reading and interpreting journal articles, trade magazines, and vendor maintenance bulletins, participating in interdepartmental planning, and other documentation.

PC Telcom was founded in 1906 and offers an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual to manage the plant and network operations of this growing company. The company has approximately 1200 access lines, is an ISP with approximately 1,500 Broadband customers, Fiber To The Premise in RLEC area, Cable Modem in CLEC areas, fixed wireless, phone systems, and other business interests. The company has approximately 12 employees and is located in Holyoke, Colorado in the northeastern part of the state.
