Job Description

-Setup Network environments by implementing configuration, documentation, and enforcing system standards
-Operating and maintaining all types of legacy and next generation local and toll switching technology
-Provisioning and troubleshooting voice services: Hosted PBX, SIP, and analog voice
-Provide training and guidance to Network Administrators and Technicians
-Monitoring performance, troubleshoot network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, collaborating with
Senior Network Engineers & Architects on network optimization
-Provide pre-sales Engineering support for customer solutions
-Provide installation support for customer solutions
-Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation
-Support Network Administrators, Network Operations Center Technicians and Administrators with escalated troubles
-Develop network documentation, Methods of Procedure, Standard Operating Procedures and schedules as required
-Regional Travel: 25%

-Bachelor’s degree and six or more years of relevant work experience or ten plus years of relevant work experience
-Experience with VoIP, SIP, PRI, and analog voice
-Experience with Central Office Switching, translations experience preferred
-Experience with troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF. Experience with MPLS is preferred
-Experience with system and network virtualization using VMware
-Experience with router platforms – Juniper and Cisco
-Knowledge of IPv4, IPv6, QoS, Multicast, MPLS, L3VPN, L2VPN, and Traffic Engineering using BGP and MPLS-TE
-Knowledge of IP Routing Protocols (ISIS, OSPF, BGP)
-Knowledge of Ethernet Switching technologies and Protocols
-Understanding of Active Ethernet and FTTx
-CCNP, JNCIS or similar level industry certification preferred
