JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Gathers and documents requirements, creates high level designs, and implements customer Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN), Data Center Networks (DCN) and Internet access networks to comply with security frameworks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Documents customer business and technical requirements, working with NetOps and Engineering to ascertain service areas and parameters
With the Solutions Integration Architect. Inside Sales Support, and MSP team, creates High Level Design (HLD) with Bill of Materials (BoM), and Statement of Work (SoW)
With the Solutions Integration Architect and Inside Sales Support, creates Low Level Design (LLD) and Work Breakdown Structure (.WBS) for network projects
Coordinates with cabling vendor to ensure cabling design enables network design
Collaborates with Inside Sales Support and Customer Service to develop service orders
Stages and configures hardware per requirements, installs and tests hardware for customer
Configures security measures such as syslog, firewalls, NTP, AAA, SIEM for monitoring & reporting
Configures network management software for monitoring & reporting
Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network issues
Expected to proactively educate themselves to customer regulations and requirements for federal, state, county, city, and education customers – along with commercial industries.
Key member of MSP/SSP team to ensure proper workflows to meet customer SLA, customer satisfaction, MSP member support, customer & GM reporting
Assists Sales with the development and integration of new services to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction
Interfaces with Marketing for customer facing digital content, social media, and leave behind materials
Expedites hardware and software solution creation with multiple technology vendors
Other tasks as assigned
Must have the ability to collaborate and problem solve with team members to achieve solutions and documented results that drive growth and customer satisfaction – in a pleasant manner
One-year of college or technical training, 2 years education and experience. Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Security + certifications are preferred. Ability to script in Perl, C++, Python is a bonus.
Self-motivated towards constant education in industry trends
Acknowledges that customer satisfaction is priority 1, and can articulate the how & why
Knowledge of telecommunications technology, products and services.
Skill in oral, written communication and persuasion and negotiating techniques.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to write and speak in concise, clear and polite manner.
Computer Skills/Office Machines:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word software, Microsoft PowerPoint software, and Internet navigational skills.
