 Highland Telephone Cooperative has an immediate opening for the full-time position of office manager/accountant. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Serve as the manager of customer service and the billing process and handle complex customer issues and complaints. Direct customer service activities. Supervise office and clerical staff. Ensure reliable filing and safekeeping of corporate records. Maintain all or a significant portion of telco accounts and accounting records in accordance with FCC, GAAP, RUS and state PUC guidelines including general and subsidiary ledgers and prepare operating and financial statements. Position requires a detail-oriented team player that is dependable, honest, hard-working, has a good attitude, enjoys and works well with the public. Overtime hours and out-of-town travel may be required.

High School Diploma or GED plus Associates Degree (or equivalent) in accounting and/or business administration preferred or minimum 3-5 years related experience in the telecom industry. Telecommunications and/or cooperative experience a plus. Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid operator’s license and satisfactory driving record.
