(June 8) In a filing with the FCC, NTCA noted its support for the commission’s efforts to protect communications networks from national security threats but urged it to narrowly tailor any new restrictions to entities explicitly named on the Covered List. The association warned that overly broad interconnection prohibitions could disrupt service, increase costs for rural providers and complicate the ongoing transition to IP-based networks.
