Seth Arndorfer

Chief Executive Officer, Dakota Carrier Network

Seth Arndorfer is the CEO of DCN (Dakota Carrier Network), a North Dakota fiber optic network owned by 14 independent broadband service providers that serves more than 164,000 subscribers in nearly every community across the state. DCN also provides business technology solutions, including dedicated internet, private mesh networks, cybersecurity services, cloud computing, and co-location at its tier III data centers in Bismarck and Fargo.

Arndorfer was named CEO in August 2013 by DCN’s Board of Governors which is comprised of CEOs from DCN’s 14 owner companies. His passion for the fast-paced telecommunications industry started in 1997 while working in the sales department at Consolidated Telcom in Dickinson, ND. He joined DCN in 2002 and gained experience in nearly every aspect of the telecommunications business process, including business development, marketing, sales, and management, before taking the helm.

Arndorfer currently serves on the Indatel Services Board of Directors, NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association’s Futures Task Force, and as a 911 association member. His previous board involvement includes TechND, United Way of Dickinson, and the Mandan Golf Association. Under Arndorfer’s leadership, DCN extended its public-private partnership with North Dakota state government, bringing one-gigabit service to all agencies, K-12 schools, and higher education institutions; constructed industry-leading, state-of-the-art tier III data centers in Fargo and Bismarck, ND, providing secure environments for co-location and cloud computing services; collaborated with its 14 owner companies to bring fiber optic connectivity to more than 280 North Dakota communities in the past five years.

Arndorfer has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Dickinson State University in Dickinson, ND. A lifelong North Dakotan, he currently lives in Bismarck with his wife and two sons.
