Roxie Mayberry has served on the Matanuska Telephone Association (MTA) Board of Directors since 2016 and currently holds the position of Board Secretary. Mayberry works closely with the Board and MTA management to set corporate strategy that ensures the co-operative remains financially strong and competitive.
Mayberry has more than 25 years of professional experience in marketing, sales training, and photography, and has owned several small businesses with her husband. She is currently focused on her newest business, appropriately named Focus on Sponsorship, where she shares her expertise in partnerships and marketing with corporations and organizations.
Upon moving to Alaska in 2007, Mayberry joined MTA as a Residential Sales Supervisor at the co-operative’s Wasilla retail location. Under her leadership, MTA’s marketing team created a company-wide sales incentive program and exceeded sales goals, increased revenue and successfully coordinated with other departments to increase process efficiency.
Mayberry joined the Alaska State Fair in 2009 as the Corporate Partnerships Director where her focus was on building and nurturing relationships in the community while acquiring sponsors and partners for the Fair. For the last three years she has been a keynote speaker and presenter for the International Association of Fairs and Expos for the state, provincial, and zone conventions and conferences across the United States and Canada.
Being involved in her community is one of her passions and she has been a leader on many boards over the years. Currently Mayberry is on the NTCA Meetings and Education and Awards committees and looks forward to working to create opportunities for telco directors and staff to increase their knowledge of the industry.
