On December 13, 2019, NTCA's Mike Romano met with Austin Bonner, legal advisor to Commissioner Geoffrey Starks to discuss the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund ("RDOF"). NTCA expressed concerns with the current weighting proposals for the RDOF auction and offered comments to ensure the auction will promote a more reasonable comparability. NTCA also discussed the steps the Commission should take to ensure greater accountability in the use of RDOF distributions.
