On December 17, 2019, NTCA met with staff from the Federal Communication Commission, Wireline Competition Bureau and the Office of Economics and Analytics to discuss the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund. NTCA expressed concern that the current weighting proposals for the RDOF will fall shorts of achieving reasonable comparability and urged the Commission to take stock of the current marketplace data and reasonably foreseeable trends in broadband networking and usage in establishing tiers and corresponding weights for the RDOF auction.
