NTCA Member Meets With FCC to Discuss Citizens Broadband Radio Service Waiver Petition

On March 3, 2020, Kansas based Nex-Tech, along with NTCA staff, met with the FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and the Office of Chairman Ajit Pai to discuss the Nex-Tech Petition for Waiver seeking an extension deadline by which existing 3650-3700 MHz Service licensees are required to transition operations to the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (“CBRS”) rules.  Nex-Tech stated that the transition is taking longer than the FCC originally envisioned, due in part to the lack of equipment available to comply with the rules.
