NTCA Comments on Lifeline Broadband Adoption Goals

On January 27, 2020, NTCA filed comments with the FCC on in response to the Further Notice on updating the performance metrics and goals of the Universal Service Fund ("USF") Lifeline Program. NTCA urged the Commission to recognize the key differences between categories of service and set a goal for the Lifeline program adoption of a broadband connection that meets every low-income consumers' individual needs.  NTCA noted that each Universal Service Fund program should not be considered a success until every American, rural or urban, low-income or otherwise, has access to a robust connection that does everything they need to it to do.
