Arlington, Va. (January 9, 2018)—NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association today issued the following statement from Chief Executive Officer Shirley Bloomfield regarding Brendan Carr’s renomination as FCC Commissioner:

“NTCA congratulates Commissioner Carr on his renomination for a second term as an FCC commissioner. He came to the commission with deep experience in telecom issues from time in the private sector and in various roles at the FCC, and he has demonstrated great interest in tackling and overcoming difficult infrastructure deployment issues during his tenure on the commission. NTCA and its members look forward to continuing to work with Commissioner Carr on helping to spur and sustain investments in rural broadband for the benefit of consumers, businesses and communities across America.”
