Caitlin Colligan Joins NTCA as Public Affairs ManagerDecember 6, 2004, Arlington, Va. - Caitlin Colligan has joined the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) as public affairs manager. Colligan will be involved in a wide range of NTCA’s communications initiatives, with an emphasis on media relations. She also will oversee the association’s PRNet program.
Colligan spent the last two years in the media relations department at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) in Washington, D.C. Prior to her stint on Capitol Hill with ACLI, she served as assistant director of communications for the America East Athletic Conference in Boston.
"With all of the dynamic changes taking place in telecommunications, especially with the impending rewrite of the 1996 Telecommunications Act, it is an extraordinary time to be in this industry." Colligan said. "I am excited about the opportunity to help communicate the rural interests of NTCA members to the media, the public and to regulators."
A native of Manhasset, N.Y., Colligan earned a B.A. in English from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
