NTCA 2013 Fall Conference Kicks Off in Chicago
The NTCA 2013 Fall Conference got underway Sunday as members descended upon Chicago to celebrate rural telecommunications and chart their path forward. Conference attendees hit the streets to participate in the first of several sold-out tours of the city and the Foundation for Rural Service Golf Outing at Harborside International Golf Center.
Several attendees also took in the game between the Chicago White Sox and the Cleveland Indians on Saturday night–just one of several sports events in the Windy City this weekend.
Sunday also brought an opportunity for committees and councils to hold business meetings. The Welcome Reception was a hit, with hundreds of attendees filling the hotel ballroom for a chance to relax and reconnect. Later, supporters of the Telecommunications Education Committee Organization (TECO) were treated to a taste of life as a radio broadcaster, as they perused the displays at the Museum of Broadcast Communications.
Conference events pick up again Monday morning, with the Opening General Session and educational sessions.
