Karla Krause and Nancy White, two leaders in the broadband industry, were among those awarded 2023 Excellence Awards during the 2024 RTIME for their exceptional commitments to their communities.
Krause, project coordinator at Lynxx Networks (Camp Douglas, Wis.), was awarded the Community Outreach Award for establishing a Christmas “Giving Tree” program. This program started 16 years ago and has since provided Christmas gifts to over 1,000 children in need.
“[This] program that started for local children has grown to serve a bigger purpose over the years – it has united the community itself,” she said.
White, vice president of business development at the National Cooperative Services Corporation (Dulles, Va.) and chair of the Smart Rural Community Advisory Council, was awarded the Associate Member Outstanding Achievement Award. With White’s 25 years of extraordinary service, she has dedicated herself to the betterment of the telecommunications industry.
