Michelle Ly directs the political action committee and grassroots initiatives for NTCA. She also represents the rural telecommunications industry on Capitol Hill, including on issues impacting employee benefits programs. Michelle has more than 15 years of experience in government affairs, including work for the Wolf Trap Foundation, a performing arts organization in Vienna, Va., where she lobbied for funding for the organization’s education programs at the federal, state and county levels. A native of Salt Lake City, Michelle began her career in politics working for Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah). She holds a Bachelor's degree from Weber State University and an MBA from The George Washington University.
