NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association released the following statement from CEO Shirley Bloomfield congratulating Brooke Rollins on her confirmation to serve as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA):
“NTCA and its members congratulate Secretary Rollins on her confirmation as secretary of agriculture. As part of its comprehensive mission of rural development, USDA has long led the charge in financing the deployment of robust and reliable infrastructure—including advanced communications networks—in rural areas for the benefit of the nation as a whole. Our members have in turn led the charge on deploying cutting-edge broadband networks in rural America, and they look forward to continuing to collaborate with USDA on such efforts and on related initiatives to streamline permitting and reduce other barriers to deployment and delivery of services. We are eager to work with Secretary Rollins to ensure that rural communities are efficiently and effectively connected for years and decades to come.”
