H. Keith Oliver

Keith Oliver is a 1977 graduate of the College of Charleston.  He began his telephone career at Home Telephone in 1984 where he remains employed as Senior Vice President of Corporate Operations.  Prior to his employment with Home Telephone, he was part owner of small Certified Public Accounting firm.

Oliver has been involved in a leadership role with many state and national organizations.  He has testified numerous times at the South Carolina Public Service Commission on behalf of the state's small rural telephone companies and frequently participates at telecom conferences around the country presenting the view point of the nation's small rural carriers.  He previously served as Chairman of the Small Company Committee of the United States Telecom Association and as Chairman of the Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunication Companies (OPASTCO). He currently serves as co­ chairman of the Rural Broadband Alliance, a group of approximately 100 small rural telephone companies who are working to achieve a viable transition path for rural telecom policy into the broadband environment.
