Chief Operating Officer (COO)

NTCA is seeking a strategic, execution-focused COO to partner with the CEO and executive team in advancing its mission and driving organizational excellence.
This role provides enterprise-wide operational leadership across Member Engagement, Information Technology, and the Foundation for Rural Service, ensuring NTCA delivers high-impact programs, services, and member value.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute NTCA’s strategic plan and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Lead member engagement efforts to enhance programs, events, and services
  • Oversee IT strategy, digital transformation, and cybersecurity
  • Provide strategic oversight of the Foundation for Rural Service
  • Establish performance metrics to improve outcomes and accountability
  • Build and lead high-performing, collaborative teams
  • Engage with members, partners, and the Board

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience (association, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization)
  • Proven ability to lead complex operations and organizational change
  • Experience across member engagement, IT/digital, and/or foundation leadership
  • Strong strategic, operational, and people leadership skills
  • Passion for rural communities and broadband connectivity
