Plateau is accepting applications for a Network Engineer for our Clovis, NM headquarters.
Duties will include testing, validation, configuration, and deployment of technologies and equipment used in Plateau’s network infrastructure, as well as administering and supporting all routers, switches, protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, MPLS, Multicast, VoIP), and related hardware and software. This will include implementing new technologies to enhance both existing services and plans for new offerings to our customers. This person is also responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and making recommendations to improve the performance of the Company’s voice and data networks and the overall health of network operations.
Minimum requirements to apply include advanced computer/IT skills and extensive IP network administration experience. Previous experience with Cisco routers, firewalls, and switches, Infinera, Adtran and Calix equipment, and extensive knowledge in IP networking design and troubleshooting is a must. CCNA or equivalent certification is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work for extended periods of time at a computer workstation are required. Some overtime, shift, and on-call work will be required.
