Retirement Starts Now: Vision, Mindset, and Income Planning
NTCA Member Relations
Retirement is far more than a financial milestone—it’s a significant life transition that brings new opportunities, choices, and responsibilities. This opening session sets the stage for the entire seminar by helping you shift your mindset from years of saving and accumulation to designing the life you want to live in retirement. We will explore what a meaningful retirement looks like for you by identifying personal goals, values, lifestyle priorities, and expectations for this next chapter. Whether your plans include travel, community involvement, family time, or pursuing new interests, understanding your vision is the first step toward building a sustainable plan. From there, we will connect your vision to the practical side of retirement: understanding your income. Participants will gain a clear overview of the key income sources that may support retirement—including pensions, retirement savings, Social Security, and other personal assets. We will discuss how these sources work together and introduce foundational concepts for determining “how much is enough.”

11 a.m.—12 p.m.
