Where were you born and raised, and where do you live?

I live on the Gulf Coast in Gulfport, Miss., approximately four miles from the coast. I grew up in a Navy family, so I traveled around a bit as a child. I was born in Bermuda and actually had dual citizenship until I turned 21. I have lived in Great Lakes, Ill.; on the naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (twice!); Alton, Ill.; Columbus, Ga.; and Gulfport, Miss. I swore that when I got married, I would live in one place! It didn’t happen. As an adult, I have lived in Gulfport, Miss.; Tyler, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Charlotte, N.C.; Atlanta, Ga.; and Omaha, Neb.

Tell us about your family.

I have been married to my husband, Tom, for almost 46 years. We have two beautiful adult daughters who live in Nebraska: one in Omaha and one in Lincoln. While we don’t currently have any pets, we have always been a dachshund family.

What do you like to do in your spare time? Any hobbies?

In my spare time, I love to travel, spend time on the water, cook and watch baseball — "Go Braves!" I love it when I run into co-workers in the airport on my travels, which happens more than you would think!

What do you like about working as an MRM for NTCA?

Being a part of the NTCA family has been the best opportunity I could have. It is an awesome experience to serve our members and see them in their territories. As MRMs, when we walk into a member company, they are truly happy to see us and share time with us. I feel honored to help their employees navigate the benefits world and see the investments their company has in them!

Any quirky facts most people don’t know about you?

A few actually… In addition to being born in Bermuda, most people don't know that I got my start in telecom as a relay operator for the deaf. I am also a licensed cosmetologist!
