(June 23) In meetings with staff to Commissioners Gomez and Trusty, NTCA stated that the FCC’s soon-to-be-released Section 706 Report should take care in making any determinations that would prejudge its pending review of the fulfillment of universal service mandates set forth in Section 254. NTCA also stated that the FCC should evaluate "advanced telecommunications capability" deployment through a robust framework that assesses and accounts for emerging user demands already being seen in the marketplace today.
