(July 13) In comments filed with the Office of Management and Budget, NTCA urged preservation of legal distinctions between Federal funding mechanisms, including cost-recovery systems, trust funds and regulatory support. NTCA also warned that regulatory uncertainty or midstream changes to funding programs would erode private investment in rural broadband, ultimately shrinking the total resources available to support rural communities and the broader economy.
