NTCA Announces Industry Veteran Justin Faulb to Lead Policy and Legal Efforts

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association announced today that Justin Faulb has been named senior vice president of policy and general counsel, overseeing the association’s government affairs, regulatory initiatives, and internal legal affairs, effective May 11.

Faulb joins NTCA from the FCC, where he served in several senior legal and policy leadership roles, including significant work on the agency’s broadband and national security agendas.

Faulb served previously as chief of staff and legal advisor for wireline and national security to Commissioner Geoffrey Starks, as well as Associate Bureau Chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau, where he helped to spearhead the implementation of the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act, overseeing the $4.98 billion “rip-and-replace” program. Faulb’s extensive regulatory experience also includes serving as the Designated Federal Officer of the Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee and as Special Counsel to former FCC Chairman Ajit Pai. Before entering public service, he practiced communications and energy law in the private sector and for a leading trade association.

“Having had many opportunities to see the good work of NTCA and its members over my career, I have been impressed by their community commitment and success in connecting rural America,” said Faulb. “I look forward to working with NTCA members as they look to deliver on the enduring mission of universal service and innovate for the benefit of rural consumers and communities.”

“Over the course of his career, Justin has played a significant role in debates over and the implementation of communications policies of critical importance to the rural communities in which NTCA members operate,” said NTCA CEO Mike Romano. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome him to NTCA, where I’m confident he will make substantial contributions to the cause of rural connectivity and the many people who benefit from it.”
