Bio (150 words) Brent Adcock started his career in telecommunications after gaining a Bachelor of Science from Troy University. The telecommunications journey started in 2007 at DTC Communications working directly with Construction & I&R Technicians, unofficial title “floater”. In late 2007 he took on the title of network technician focusing solely on the cutover and turn-up of fiber connected ADSL & VDSL remote terminals. From there his growth and education into the details of providing telecommunications service took off. Certifications including CompTIA Network+, Security+, Fujitsu, Calix, CCNA, and multiple OSP engineering and design courses were completed. In May 2014, he was promoted to engineering supervisor then senior engineering supervisor by 2019. During his first two months of the 2014 promotion, he oversaw the upgrade/implementation of innovative systems fork-lifting all current operating systems including but not limited to provisioning, mapping, records, financials etc. Since 2014 he has managed OSP and COE projects ranging from 8 million to 20 million Capex. Approximately 3,000 miles of fiber built and 33,000 premises passed since overseeing his first full year of buildout in 2015. Outside of work he enjoys watching his kids play sports and working on the family farm.
