With over 20 years of experience practicing law, J. Gregory Matthews was born and raised in Yadkin County, North Carolina. He is a 1989 graduate of Forbush High School. Matthews graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University in 1993 and completed his law degree at Campbell University School of Law in 1998. He is a long-time member of the National Republican Lawyers Association, a member of the NTCA Legal Committee, a past president of the 23rd Judicial District Bar and a Yadkin County Bar Association member. Matthews is serving his third term as the public administrator for Yadkin County. He was recently sworn into the United States Supreme Court Bar in Washington, D.C.; he is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals Bar and the Middle District of North Carolina Bar.
