Jana Wallace is the CEO of Panhandle Telephone Cooperative Inc. and its subsidiary Panhandle Telecommunication Systems Inc. (dba PTCI), serving customers with landline, wireless and high-speed broadband services in the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles.

Closing in on 32 years of service at PTCI, Wallace is a seasoned executive in the telecommunications industry. She has led the company in upgrading PTCI’s cellular network to 5G ready status and in continuing PTCI’s fiber-to-the-home infrastructure upgrades throughout the region now focusing on fiber-to-the-farm rural projects.

Wallace is involved in advocacy and policy efforts through active roles on the boards of OTA, The Oklahoma Rural Broadband Association (president, 2020-21 and 2025-26), the national Rural Wireless Association (RWA; president 2020-21), ORTC, Oklahoma Rural Telecommunications Coalition, NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association IBOC and SRC committees, and as past-president of the Panhandle Regional Economic Development Coalition Inc. (PREDCI).

As the fifth generation of her family to call the Oklahoma Panhandle home, Jana has a deep sense of pride and respect for the people and accomplishments in PTCI’s history. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to represent consumers in rural America by telling their story to regulators and policy makers at the state and national level, ensuring customers have access to progressive, affordable and high-quality communications services.
