Quentin has been active in the telecommunications industry since 1996. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from South Dakota State University in 1996. Since his entry into the industry, Quentin has played a key role in the research, network architecture design, economical analysis, and implementation of existing and emerging technologies unique to ILEC networks.
Quentin has been involved with the implementation of essentially every aspect of telecommunication networks, including Digital Loop Carrier (DLC), FITL, FTTP, SONET, Carrier Ethernet, standby power, data network backbones, xDSL, and switched digital video. In these deployments, Quentin has been responsible for the technical research, development of plans and specifications, vendor evaluation, project management, and final inspection.
Prior to Vantage Point Solutions, Quentin was Engineering Team Leader for the TCE Business Unit at Martin Group. Quentin is a registered Professional Engineer in Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Quentin Flippin is one of Vantage Point’s ten licensed professional engineers, where he has been involved with the implementation of essentially every aspect of broadband networks – including both wireline and wireless technologies. A uniquely talented problem-solver, Quentin is especially known for his ability to address new, complex, or unusual engineering opportunities.
