POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Systems Engineer will possess the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and transition between different tasks as the need arises. Responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of servers, network infrastructure and components. They will perform a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure network performance meets client satisfaction. Also provides direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations. Will be required to plan, coordinate, implement, and document IT project work.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshooting malfunctions of servers, network hardware and software applications to resolve operational issues and restore services
Design, setup and configure complex server environments
Maintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities
Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors etc. to provide technical assistance and support
Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users
Project scoping and technical plan development
Lead project execution
Testing of proposed solutions within lab environments
Adopting and learning new technologies
Providing onsite and remote support
Communicate directly with clients regarding projects, support requests and informational inquiries.
Perform high level technology assessments
Engaging with clients and developing their IT initiatives
Capturing client requirements
Create review and maintain network documentation, including detailed network diagrams
Keep project and service tickets current and up to date on a daily basis
Interact with non-technical staff in an effective manner and understand technology security and best practices
Liaison with vendors and internal and external resources to ensure proper completion or escalation of issues
Demonstrate commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Keep physical work space and bench environment clean and organized
Assume additional duties as defined by supervisor and executive management
Follow Aureon Technology policies and tenets at all times and subscribe to company ethos

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

Required
One expert certification and one major certification as identified by Aureon Technology technical certification list
7+ years professional experience in a computer or systems related field
Preferred

Bachelor’s degree
Two expert certifications as identified by Aureon Technology technical certification list
10 years’ professional experience in IT networking

Knowledge of a wide variety of hardware, software, and communication technologies

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Indoor work primarily in office environment, both company and customer
Frequent utilization of manual dexterity and visualizing of computer screen
Occasional bending, carrying, squatting, twisting and lifting up to 60 pounds independently
Occasional travel by vehicle
