(December 19) NTCA this week responded to proposed National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) performance measurement requirements for networks supported by the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program. The association urged NTIA to implement standards consistent with and uniform to FCC performance measurement requirements, explaining that the commission’s requirements have been tested extensively in robust rulemaking proceedings and over years of implementation and compliance.
NTCA explained that consistent processes for providers will enhance administrative efficiencies and enable those firms to more effectively direct resources to the deployment and operation of critical broadband infrastructure.
