(Aug. 1) In joint comments filed in response to the FCC’s Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) NPRM, NTCA and WISPA responded to comments and recommended the commission minimize the financial and operational costs of its proposals while also focusing on more effective means of increasing BGP routing security. The associations also pointed to the FCC’s questionable authority to impose the requirements described in the BGP NPRM on broadband providers.
