For 30 years, we’ve talked about the service demarcation; the point where service providers connect the subscriber to the network. New home networking equipment and solutions have allowed service providers to move the demarc into the home, thanks to improved Wi-Fi coverage designed to deliver on subscriber demands.

However, Wi-Fi issues are driving nearly half of support calls. To make matters worse, some of these issues are caused by devices that subscribers have purchased at retail stores. How did you end up supporting devices that you didn’t even sell?

With the coming wave of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, it’s time for service providers to move from defense to offense. Rather than surrendering the hard-won position in the home network to web-scale competitors intent on relegating them into wholesalers—that still bear the burden of the support calls—service providers must transform their business models.

This webinar is intended to give service providers some food for thought as they look to take advantage of the inevitable evolution to the smart home, driven by the proliferation of smart home devices.
