Business Sales Advisor

Job Description

Join West Central Telephone’s team as a Business Sales Advisor! This position is responsible for selling and marketing our products and services to commercial customers. The Business Sales Advisor will actively seek new customers in the business market to take WCTA services, as well as develop relationships with current business customers. The right person will be passionate about helping others succeed and have the high energy and drive necessary for an outside sales position. The ideal candidate has industry knowledge of business products and services such as Hosted IP phone systems, network management, and surveillance and security systems. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Discovers and explores business opportunities, offering business solutions and telecommunications equipment to potential customers, and builds market position by closing business relationships. 
  • Follows up on sales leads from staff, advertisements, and promotions. Informs and educates potential customers of available products and services. 
  • Defines potential customer needs, finds solutions, develops proposals and sales presentations, and closes the sale. Works with staff as needed on complex customer solutions. 
  • Maintains contact with existing customer base and capitalizes on any new sales opportunities by introducing new technologies, products, and services to support client operations. 
  • Follows up with customers following installations and alterations to ensure customer satisfaction. May serve as a liaison for all account issues. 
  • Promotes and sells communications, security, and surveillance services and products for WCTA. 
  • Maintains a high knowledge of the industry in general and of the competition. 
  • Assists with the development and implementation of sales events to promote services and products. 
  • Creates learning opportunities and events for the business community. 
  • Involvement in area chambers, community organizations, and other networking opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • 5+ years of sales experience desired. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. 
  • Skills in identifying problems and resolutions. 
  • Experience with CRM software, or Salesforce preferred. 
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Word and Excel. 
  • Good organizational skills. 
  • Team player, works well with others.
